Fractional Yacht Ownership in Hong Kong

Yachting provides one of the best ways to admire this modern metropolis in all its glory. One can embark on a truly spectacular voyage from Hong Kong Island through the wonder of the harbour, past the spectacular Tsing Ma Bridge and out to the peaceful outlying islands and country parks.

Anchor at Cheung Chau Island for a glimpse of a traditional fishing community, or Lantau Island for a day spent enjoying its challenging mountain walks, warm beaches and awe-inspiring giant Buddha perched high on a plateau. Lamma Island is famed for its sumptuous seafood feasts, while Sai Kung truly blooms with its natural beauty boasting some of the region’s finest beaches.

Hong Kong is particularly suited to fractional yacht ownership as it is considered a more occasional yachting destination. Syndicate owners have full access to their yacht for social and corporate entertaining and occasional beach trips, without the burden of the full time cost and attention a privately owned yacht normally demands.

The current owner is open to a 50/50 split or a 33.3/33.3/33.3 even split.

This new syndicate is a member Fractional Association and plans to upgrade their membership to Platinum level to then use their systems, procedures, rules and regulations – to ensure that all shared owners have a fair and equitable relationship throughout.

Maintaining the yacht in excellent order is also considered paramount and the syndicate proposes to:

To collect a deposit from each owner to make sure the boat is well maintained reducing outages of availability and keeping the boat in the best conditions
To collect monthly payments from each of the owners that will cover all maintenance costs and some percentage in addition to cover unexpected expenses

This really will be a professionally run operation on a top class yacht. It’s an ideal way to enjoy boating in Hong Kong without the costs of full yacht ownership.
